VGD101v2 - Video Game Design Basics ($75.00)
VGD101v2 teaches students the basics of Video Game Design and Programming while they create their first video game. They will design and create the virtual world and the movement, properties, and actions of characters found in the extensive Multimedia Fusion game library.

v2 uses Multimedia Fusion version 2 also referred to as MMF2. All students enrolled in VGD101 are eligible for an exclusive 33% off the price of Multimedia Fusion which can be purchased when you register for a userid, or through the Student Control Panel, for $80 plus $10 shipping and handling.

This is a 60 day course.

VGD102v2 - Designing Platform Video Games ($75.00)
VGD102 delves into the art of designing and creating a Platform Video Game.

Students receive a short history lesson on platform video games and then learn how to create platform specific character movements, power items, level bosses, and other functions as they create their first platform video game.

This 60 day course requires the purchase of MultiMedia Fusion.

VGD103 - Creating & Animating Video Game Characters ($75.00)
VGD103 teaches students the fundamentals of basic digital animation. After the basics students learn how to create and animate video game characters in the professional 2D animation program "Toon Boom Studio."

Students will learn how to create a walk cycle, a jump cycle, and also how to animate their character throwing. These animations will then be used to import their character into Multimedia Fusion for their custom video game.

Enrolled VGD103 students are eligible to purchase ToonBoom Studio for $89. Retail price for this bundle is $399.

This 60 day course requires MultiMedia Fusion and ToonBoom . Once you are enrolled in VGD103 you will be able to purchase ToonBoom Studio.

Toon Boom Studio Bundle ($89.00)
Toon Boom Studio is the complete animation software solution to quickly create eye-catching animations.

Version 4.5 enables users to easily build animations the cut-out way -- select artworks from existing libraries and animate using motion paths. This is the place to work with and learn from other budding Digital Manga and Comic Authors and Artists while you create an advanced Digital Manga or Comic project of your own.

You will receive two months in the Digital Manga and Comic CyberStudio where you will propose an advanced Digital Manga or Comic project, receive feedback, assistance, and a final review from other CyberStudio members, and if your Digital Manga or Comic is amazing we might even sponsor further development and consider selling it.

VGDCS - Video Game Design CyberStudio ($75.00)
This is the place to work with and learn from other budding Video Game Developers while you create an advanced video game design project.

You will receive the Kinesis professional video game, example Multimedia Fusion source code used to create the game, and two months in the Video Game Design CyberStudio where you will propose an advanced video game design project, receive feedback, assistance, and a final review from other CyberStudio members, and if your video game is amazing we might even sponsor further development and consider selling it.

Learning Through Music and Technology 101 ($75.00)
This course will teach students how to compose and record original music with the MadPlayer Hand-Held Digital Music Studio.

Students can then use the MadPlayer to compose original music, lyrics, rap, and poetry, for their documentary, animation, and video game soundtracks.

This is a 60 day course and requires the purchase of a MadPlayer.

NMFCS - YDACS National Student Mentor & Fellow CyberStudio ($6000.00)
The crazy price is because this CyberStudio is by invitation only but is Free for those invited to participate!

This is where YDACS National Student Mentors and Fellows are hard at work cooking up and working on amazing cutting edge projects that research and develop YDACS advanced projects, possible future courses, and possible new software for us to use.

Any YDACS student can become a YDACS National Student Mentor by getting 100% on all of your course quizzes and demonstrating your skills and leadership by posting your digital art masterpieces and by assisting other YDACS students in the course forums. YDACS National Mentorship is a year commitment. You have to have the time to commit to working on YDACS projects and participating in regular CyberConferencing Brainstorming & Digital Arts Jam Sessions as well as YDACS events like the public YDACyberConferences. You also need to represent YDACS within your local community.

The MadPlayer Hand-Held Digital Music Studio ($499.00)
The YDACS is proud to offer the MadPlayer hand-held digital music studio.

After extensive research and study of portable composition devices, YDACS chose the MadPlayer because of its truly unique composition and high quality recording abilities.

This hand-held music studio enables students, from 8 years old through high school, to immediately create advanced musical compositions either entirely by ear via the MadPlayer or in collaboration with a computer using music composition software which allows students to further their masterpieces by visually moving beats, melodies, and even individual notes!

This course teaches students how to compose and record original, professional sounding music with the MadPlayer Hand-Held Digital Music Studio.

MadPlayers are no longer being made and are therefore collectible. We have a limited supply still available for purchase.

Learning Through Videography and Technology 101 ($150.00)
LTVT101 teaches students how to create their own short documentary film using a state-of-the-art prosumer camcorder, the Panasonic PV-G250, and professional, yet inexpensive, video editing software from Sony, Sony Vegas.

Although we use the Panasonic PV-G250 in the course any current camcorder with firewire or i-link, or any digital camera with a usb connection, can also be used.

This is a 60 day course and requires Sony Vegas.
